"I would have never thought they'd implement girls to the game," Powers told USA TODAY Sports. "Even though I feel like we ought to be in there." Dallas Wings shield Allisha Gray was enjoying 2K since Shaquille O'Neal graced the cover at 2005, and she has trouble believing that she's a part of it. "I never would have imagined seeing myself in a video game," Gray explained. Alexis Jones, who was waived by the Atlanta Dream in August, has consistently enjoyed making her own player on 2K and tends to mold his game after her very own. The 2019 WNBA champion says if she plays video games she is sometimes satisfied with misogynistic messages from different users, and she expects that new modes such as"The W" will make it much easier for women playing video games. "It sort of gives the younger women a fantastic look and says,'Hey, it is alright to be a lady, like basketball and want to playwith,' since I know some of their male buddies may have a different view," Powers said. "But when you Find the women from the game, it's like,'Hey, that is right.'"
